Composed Lion

African lion resting a bit in his exhibit at the National Zoo in Washington DC. He was pretty active when this picture was taken, prowling his "territory", taking some whacks at the PVC pipe hanging from the tree, and apparently roaring for the benefit of the crowds. I don't think I've heard a lion roar at the zoo in the long time.
